Music Tells A Story

Denisé Krestal Baldwin is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, bassist, and veteran performer originally from the Pittsburgh area, now living in the Laurel Highlands.  Throughout the 80’s, she made her living playing full-time with successful rock bands based in PA and Ohio which opened for Huey Lewis and the News, Southside Johnny, and Donnie Iris. She is proudly named in Youngstown Ohio’s Rock and Roll History.

For the past 18 years she has been a solo performer and a year ago joined with Luke Ream to form the electric rock duo Manic Mango.

It was an honor and thrill for her to perform with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra when two of her original songs were chosen for their concerts.  In the past few years she shared the stage with three-time Grammy-winner and friend Linda Davis.
Denise attributes her passion for music to her first music teacher, the late Richard Zana. who had an enormous influence on his students. Denise began studying with world-renowned voice trainer, William Riley in 2008.  She began teaching voice and live performance in 2011 and has shared her passion for music with over 400 students.
Denise is a member of BMI, AFM, and NSAI, she is one of the founding members and current president of Johnstown Songworks.
